John,
Contact Woodmizer. They make portable sawmills in Indiana, with their HQ on the west side of Indianapolis.
They have a referrals page of their clients who would like to mill your logs.
You’ll want to call several and see what it costs—each is an independent operator with their own hobby or business.
Sometimes ( but not always) you can strike a deal where the milling is done with no cash involved. The sawyer would get a percentage of the sawn boards in exchange for doing the work. You give them the tree, they give you boards from it, and take home boards from it, which they’ll sell later at their lumberyard. They will also leave a lot of free sawdust for you to clean up 😎
The percentages are highly negotiable ! Some may take as little as 10%, while others will want 90%, and leave you the rest.
If the miller also has a kiln, they may take all the boards, dry them, and later keep a larger percentage, while returning some to you.
If they leave you some boards at the time they are cut, this involves less transportation and you can air dry these in a stack at your own location. Have an ample supply of 3/4” x 3/4” ‘stickers’ on hand to separate these boards as they are cut and stacked.
Get plenty of quotes.
Hope this helps
