Grandfather clock plans
Dan Cline
I know I'm going out on a limb a bit, but I'm requesting to see if there is a club member(s) that can help me. Years ago, my dad bought the plans for a grandfather clock along with a substantial amount of walnut lumber and all the necessary clockworks. However, he never got around to building it. Before he passed away 2 years ago, he asked me if I would build it for him.

My problem is that although I have a decent amount of woodworking experience, I've never built anything from a set of plans. I've gotten started on the clock, but there are details and information on the plans that I don't understand. The plans are 9 pages and the pages are 2' x 3'. There's a LOT of details. Is there a club member(s) that would graciously be able to help me work through some of the plans that I don't understand?

I want to honor my dad by getting this completed in a skillful way, and any help would be very much appreciated!! I've attached a sample of a couple pages of the plans so you can see what's involved. I'm located in Rushville, and my number is 317-650-5312. Thank you!   ~ Dan Cline

Hi Rob, I am so very grateful for your offer, and will gladly accept. Perhaps we can brainstorm some of the areas I'm having difficulty in. Rob, I'll reach out to you individually to make arrangements.
If there are other members that have experience with plans similar to mine, I'd love to hear from you as well. Thanks to everyone!   ~ Dan
