Router repair
Chuck Trupe

I have a Milwaukee router that will not start. I am guessing it is the switch or brushes. I am not comfortable tearing it apart. I have contacted Mikwaukee and they only thing they will tell me is that I can mail it to them and it won't cost more than $150. Does anyone know of a small motor repair shop that could work on this for me. I live in Whitestown.

I would try it but I’m an hour away. Theresa easiest thing to try is blow compressed air on the switch. If it’s just dust on the contacts that should fix it. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestion.  That seems to have worked.  It now starts!

Great to hear!

If you continue to have problems with the router I can probably help you. I have a small shop out of my garage and can fix about anything that was meant to be fixed. Often things that were not meant to be fixed.
I'm retired and live close to Eagle Creek Golf Course. With the cold weather setting in, projects like this can be fun. It can be difficult to find an intermittent problem but if the router is not working I can tell you what is wrong in about 5 minutes. It's not about money and I am not looking for a job. Let me know If I can help.  Rick Johnson

Thank you, Rick.
