My coworker asked me if I knew any woodworkers, classes or clubs fir his 14 year old who is interested on carving. I will send the CIWW info but does anyone have more info I could offer?

Ciww does have a wood carving group. Did you try the indy arts center?

Reach out to Emily Ottinger at (emmiegirl73@gmail.com).  Emily coordinates the carving group within CIWW.  I know they were looking to invite younger individuals to their carving group sessions.
Those sessions are held each Saturday at Rockler (9-12) and Woodcraft (1-3).  Another person within the carving group to contact would be Joe Wiedenbener (Deutsch65jdw@gmail.com)

Hi there :)

The carving special interest group meets on Saturdays at Woodcraft from 9am-12 and at Rockler from 1-3pm. The Rockler group is smaller and may be better for learning from start but the Woodcraft group has more carvers doing different types of carving so I like to suggest they come to that morning group first to see what he likes and then he can pick and choose from there. Most all of us are able and happy to get a newbie started on learning the basic cuts and safety tips. If you have more questions please let me know :)
