I am looking for a bench top drill press for small projects often using mechanical actions - axles, cams, gears, etc. Just bought a WEN from Amazon and right out of the box the post is too narrow for the table clamp and the table will not stay in place. Any suggestions for an well made alternative to WEN? There is a Bosch on the European market that people like but it runs on European voltage. Any suggestions will be welcome. Thank you.

I would suggest a Masterforce from Menards. It has a few things going for it. It has full variable speed without any belt changing. It also has a 3 1/4” quill travel, which is the longest I could find when I bought mine. I’ve had it 5yrs and with zero maintenance it still works great.
