Marion County Fair Opportunity
There were a few questions that came up about this opportunity.

1. The building is locked outside of the operating hours, so the booths are secure when a craftsperson is not present.

2. There are electric outlets available about every 10 feet, so electricity to a booth should not be a problem.

3. The fair does want the booths to be manned at all times during the fair hours of operation, but it is OK for two or more craftspersons to share a booth, so they can split up the time required to man the booths.

4. The fair board does have a relationship with an insurer, who can provide a short term insurance contract that meets the requirements of the fair board.

If there are other questions, let me know and I will try to get answers to them.

The Marion County Fair is looking for artisans and craftsmen to exhibit

at the 2026 Marion County Fair, to be held from June 26 to July 5.

Fair hours of operation for 2025, which should be similar to 2026,

were 5pm to 11pm, Monday-Friday and 12pm to 11pm Saturday and Sunday.

The Craft Exhibition Hall closes at 9pm every night.

Items to be exhibited should be created by the craftspersons themselves,

although more than one craftsperson may work together in a single booth.

The Exhibition Hall is air conditioned and secured outside of hours of operation.

The Hall has room for 10 or more exhibitors. Booth space is 10 x 10 feet, and no

booth fee is required.

However, each exhibitor must secure insurance. The fair board does have

assistance in securing such insurance.

Last year's attendance to the fair was about 40,000 people.
