Branding iron for projects

If you need something in metal, I have a fiber laser. I have done many brass and SS coins in the past.

I ask Jim Chrena to make me some branding emblems using the laser cutter.

I got these made with a cnc laser printer/cutter.
They're 1" Diam and 1/8" thick making for easy mounting with a forstner bit and some glue.

Cheers,
Jim Cummings

Most responses have covered your options.  Commercial branding irons in lots of different designs are available from Rockler and Woodcraft.  My partners actually purchased a very nice one for me as part of my retirement gift.  Probably other options on sites like Etsy.
Alternatively you can make (or have someone make) medallions out of wood or metal that get inlaid in your piece.  With a laser cutter the design options are pretty endless.  I have a Shaper and that can engrave similar to a CNC machine so designs are pretty flexible.
Hope this helps.

Don't forget, CIWW can make the medallions, if you want to go that route.

Originally I was only thinking a branding iron. However, medallions sound like a great alternative.

Alright, I can't help you there.

Are you wanting a branding iron? Or do you want medallions?

Are you wanting a branding iron? Or do you want medallions?

Recently I’ve been building custom pieces for friends, family and a few that will actually pay me :). I think I’d like to brand the pieces with a simple logo and name. Advice, source, tips? If possible I’d like to find someone local? If not, that’s fine. Something < $100 if possible.

thanks in advance.
