Our Toys for the Month of April are two small keepsake boxes, the Crappie Fish Box and the Escargot Box.  Both have a secret compartment for use in hiding small jewelry or trinkets. 

These boxes require a piece of 2x6 and some 1/4" plywood for the top and bottom. Shaped on a bandsaw, the lid is attached on a pivot pin (axle) that also serves as the eye for the characters.

As usual, build 13, keep one, and return the others in a box marked Category 3 and clearly marked on the box.

Our Toys for the Month of March are two popular vehicles; The Tractor and The Flat Bed Truck.

Originally drawn up by John Kneebone, the Tractor is a popular toy in our Car category. The kit includes wheels, axles, a driver and an exhaust stack, along with a template for the main body of the grader.  

Our Alternative Toy of the Month is the Flat Bed Truck which is a simple to build toy that will have young ones stacking things on the bed to haul them around.  The kit for this includes wheels and axles.  The rest can be cut from scrap 2x4's and other board stock you may have on hand.

As usual, build 13, keep one, and return the others in a box marked Category 9 and clearly marked on the box.
